Inspiration

Healing
The soul is happy by nature; the soul is happiness itself. It becomes unhappy when something is the matter with its vehicle, its instrument, it’s tool through which it experiences life. Care of the body, therefore, is the first and most important principle of religion.
– Hazrat Inayat Khan

Healing is not forcing the sun to shine, but letting go of that which blocks the light.
– Stephen and Ondrea Levine

Ten Laws of Healing
1. We Want to Care for the Things We Love
2. The Body Remembers
3. Separate Body Image from Body Reality
4. Come into Animal Presence
5. Listen to the Body
6. Experience the Mind/Body Connection
7. Let Energy Flow
8. Be a Skeptical Explorer
9. Get Support
10. Take Responsibility but Give Up Control

My spring inspiration will focus on the importance and benefits of eating healthy, wonderful, yummy, soul satisfying food.

Healthy, nutritious food is very much in alignment with laws 1 and 2, caring for our body, loving our body thru our food choices.

The soul is happy by nature; the soul is happiness itself. It becomes unhappy when something is the matter with its vehicle, its instrument, it’s tool through which it experiences life. Care of the body, therefore, is the first and most important principle of religion.

Have you considered the length of time from picking/harvesting/preparing food to when that food hits your palate? Too long in most cases I would think for optimum nutritional benefits, and taste sensation. How many people have been involved with getting that food to your plate?

Of course we live in a fast pace world with many responsibilities in just a 24hour period. But if we unplugged the TV, I believe we would find the time to plant a garden, shop our local famers market and plan better meals. Cooking means, wonderful leftovers, which means, sack lunches that are highlights of our workday. (The voice of experience)

All this takes thought, desire, discipline, and a dedication to what keeps us healthy and moving with grace.
Great, fresh food and a meal cooked with love and mindfulness, can make us so happy, can change the way we feel, think, and the way we love.

The way we love ourselves, the way we love others, the way we love mother earth. Go digging, get dirty, raise your standards in what you eat, be mindful of how much you eat, and bring a greater awareness to choosing restaurants that are in alignment with your standards. Know it is energy, not only the food, but energy from the earth where it was raised and the energy from everyone involved with handling that food/food product.

With Love, Light, Collards, Kale, Swiss Chard and Not Soon Enough, Lovely Tomatoes.
